Big news in the aviation world! Aviation Capital Group (ACG) and Delta Airlines have just made significant moves, signaling a strong vote of confidence in Boeing's future. Let's dive in!
First up, ACG, a global powerhouse in aircraft asset management, has committed to buying 50 Boeing 737 MAX jets. This is a significant deal, especially considering ACG already leases nearly 500 planes to around 90 airlines across approximately 50 countries. These new jets are slated for delivery in the years 2032 and 2033.
This new order boosts ACG's existing Boeing 737 MAX order book to a whopping 121 planes, including 50 of the 737-10 variant. And this is the part most people miss... This makes ACG the largest customer for the 737-10!
But that's not all! Delta Airlines is also making waves, announcing its first-ever purchase of 30 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners. These are long-haul aircraft, and Delta even has the option to buy up to 30 more of these impressive planes.
This all comes as Boeing announced its fourth-quarter commercial airplane deliveries, totaling 160 planes. Looking ahead to 2025, Boeing is projecting deliveries of 600 planes, a sign of production stabilization after a period of challenges.
Here's where it gets controversial... Boeing is expected to reveal its production plans for 2026 later this month. What do you think about these major purchases? Do you see this as a sign of recovery and growth for Boeing, or are there lingering concerns about the company's recent past? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
