MLC Theming specializes in, well, theming! Their website boasts about scenic painting, aging structures, facade fabrication, and even carving rock work – exactly the kind of artistry needed to enhance a spooky, spectral experience. This is where it gets interesting.
Adding fuel to the fire, a previous permit (https://wdwnt.com/2025/12/walt-disney-imagineering-permit-set-elements-haunted-mansion/) was filed with Mecca Productions (https://www.meccaproductions.com/), a design, fabrication, and installation firm known for their close collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering. This permit specified "Install set elements." So, we have one company installing thematic elements, and another doing general construction. Could this mean a completely new scene or a major overhaul of an existing one?
MLC THEMING, INC., as they state themselves, is a creative specialty construction company with roots in Ireland, serving the theming industry since 1985. They emphasize their mastery of scenic painting, aging structures, facade fabrication, and rock work carving. Think decaying mansions, crumbling tombstones, and eerie landscapes – that's their forte!
Now, Disney hasn't officially announced anything regarding changes to The Haunted Mansion. And this is the part most people miss... these permits might simply be for routine maintenance or minor touch-ups. But the combination of "general construction" and a theming specialist strongly suggests something more substantial is in the works.
